Our Team
Beth Goldstein, Owner
Beth started working with her father, Bob, in 2006. After his passing in 2020, Beth recognized the need to step into the ownership role to continue to be there for their clients.
Beth specializes in tax preparation, self-employment consulting, logistics, and enjoys client relationships and keeping the office environment a fun place to work.
When Beth is not in the office, she enjoys traveling, dining out, riding her Peloton bike, and spending time with her husband, daughter (see video on Typical Appointment page), and their dog Penny (see below).
Barry Kaufman, CPA, Partner
Barry received his MS in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and obtained his CPA license in Pennsylvania. He has been practicing for over 15 years. Barry and Bob were close for many years. His goal is to always provide clients with well-deserved outstanding service.
Barry's professional experience includes regional public accounting firms where he specialized in small business and individual taxes. He has expertise with rental real estate, multi-state taxation, and passthrough business entities. He enjoys time with his wife Stefanie and their almost 2 year old son, Lenny. Some of his numerous personal interests include comedy, tennis, meditation, and volleyball.
Amy Ford, Senior Tax Accountant
Amy has been part of the Goldstein tax family for 35 years. She specializes in tax preparation for both individual and business tax returns as well as non-profit, gift tax, and FinCEN/Foreign Bank Account returns.
When Amy is not in the office, she enjoys cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams, walking in North Park, and spending time with her family.
David Kim, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant
David has been a remote member of the Goldstein Tax Advisors team since 2021.
David received his BS and MS in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He specializes in preparing and reviewing personal and business tax returns.
In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, checking out new restaurants and being stressed out by his Chicago sports teams.
Ariel Haughton, CPA, Senior Tax Manager
Ariel joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in the spring of 2022. She attended Chatham University, receiving her Masters in Accounting in 2018. She specializes in preparing and reviewing personal and business tax returns and bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and tax projections.
When Ariel is at home, she likes working in her garden and spending time with her husband, two kids, and three cats.
Cortney Scott, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant
Cortney has been a remote member of the Goldstein Tax Advisors team since 2023. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Clemson University and is a licensed CPA. Cortney specializes in preparing individual and business taxes, as well as assisting clients with tax planning.
In her free time, Cortney enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets, cheering on the Clemson Tigers, baking sourdough, and traveling.
Hayly Allen, Tax Accountant
Hayly joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in the fall of 2023. She attended Robert Morris University, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Accounting and her MBA with a certificate in Business Analytics. She specializes in individual income tax, non-profit exemption elections, and tax analysis.
She is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Justin Tannenbaum, Business Operations
Justin graduated from Penn State and joined the firm in August 2024. He wears many hats, handling everything from operations and business strategy to tax support, client management, and even some IT work. He enjoys taking on diverse responsibilities to keep things running smoothly.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and watching live comedy.
Marika Durward, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant
Marika has been working in the tax industry since 2004. She received her Masters in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her CPA license in Colorado. For 8 years she worked as a contractor for a large variety of CPA firms all over the country and has accumulated a large mix of insight and experience with different approaches. She has expertise with individuals, pass-through business entities, and multi-state returns.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, fitness, hiking, and going to metal concerts with her husband.
Savanna Pastore, Tax Accountant
Savanna is a junior at Chatham University pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, with plans to enter an MBA program after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys baking, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with her dogs.
Patrick Shumar, Tax Accountant
Patrick is attending PennWest University, where he is obtaining his master's degree in accounting and is planning on pursuing the CPA license after he graduates. In his free time, Patrick enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
