Our Team
Beth Goldstein, Owner
Beth started working with her father, Bob, in 2006. After his passing in 2020, Beth recognized the need to step into the ownership role to continue to be there for their clients.
Beth specializes in tax preparation, self-employment consulting, logistics, and enjoys client relationships and keeping the office environment a fun place to work.
When Beth is not in the office, she enjoys traveling, dining out, riding her Peloton bike, and spending time with her husband, daughter (see video on Typical Appointment page), and their dog Penny (see below).
Barry Kaufman, CPA
Barry received his MS in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and obtained his CPA license in Pennsylvania. He has been practicing for over 10 years. Barry and Bob were close for many years. His goal is to always provide clients with well-deserved outstanding service.
Barry's professional experience includes regional public accounting firms where he specialized in small business and individual taxes. He has expertise with rental real estate, multi-state taxation, and passthrough business entities. He enjoys time with his wife Stefanie and 1 year old baby. Some of his numerous personal interests include volleyball, comedy, tennis, and meditation.
Amy Ford, Senior Tax Accountant
Amy has been part of the Goldstein tax family for 35 years. She specializes in tax preparation for both individual and business tax returns as well as non-profit, gift tax, and FinCEN/Foreign Bank Account returns. Amy also assists clients with all of their bookkeeping and payroll needs.
When Amy is not in the office, she enjoys cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams, walking in North Park, and spending time with her family.
Ariel Haughton, Tax Manager
Ariel joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in the spring of 2022. She attended Chatham University, receiving her Masters in Accounting in 2018. She specializes in preparing and reviewing personal and business tax returns and bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and tax projections. She is currently pursuing her CPA license.
When Ariel is at home, she likes working in her garden and spending time with her husband, two kids, and three cats.
Cortney Scott, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant
Cortney has been a remote member of the Goldstein Tax Advisors team since 2023. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Clemson University and is a licensed CPA. Cortney specializes in preparing individual and business taxes, as well as assisting clients with tax planning.
In her free time, Cortney enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets, cheering on the Clemson Tigers, baking sourdough, and traveling.
Hayly Allen, Tax Accountant
Hayly joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in the fall of 2023. She attended Robert Morris University, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Accounting and her MBA with a certificate in Business Analytics. She specializes in individual income tax, non-profit exemption elections, and tax analysis.
She is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Lisa Tohey, Accounting & Tax Services Specialist
Lisa joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in 2024, bringing over 20 years of industry experience. She specializes in personal tax returns, bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online, and client tax administration. Additionally, Lisa is a certified PA Notary, offering a well-rounded skill set to support client needs.
When Lisa is not in the office, she enjoys Pittsburgh sports, boating and spending time with her girls.
Justin Tannenbaum, Business Operations
Justin graduated from Penn State and joined the firm in August 2024. He wears many hats, handling everything from operations and correspondence to tax support, client management, and even some IT work. He enjoys taking on diverse responsibilities to keep things running smoothly.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and watching live comedy.
Ayanna Squair, Executive Assistant
Ayanna joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in January 2025. With her experience in administrative tasks, scheduling, and client communications, Ayanna is eager to contribute a positive and proactive approach to efficient operations of the firm and grow within the industry.
When Ayanna is not in the office, she enjoys visiting small business ice cream shops, watching Law & Order, and jogging.
Benjamin Brinker, Senior Tax Accountant
Benjamin joined the firm in January 2025. He has been preparing personal tax returns since 2010. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and is currently working toward his Enrolled Agent certification.
He specializes in auditing and individual tax matters, as well as day-to-day accounting and tax filings for non-profits.
When not at work, Benjamin enjoys indulging in his passion for cooking, baking, and trying new foods. He also enjoys sitting down for a game or show, with one (or all) of his three cats joining him.
Sarah Usko, Intern
Sarah joined Goldstein Tax Advisors as an intern in the fall of 2024. She will graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and plans to pursue an MBA at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with family.
Irene Shao, Intern
Irene joined Goldstein Tax Advisors as an intern in the fall of 2024. She is currently gaining experience in individual tax preparation. A recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, she majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
In her free time, Irene enjoys baking and cooking a variety of foods.
Yukta Rana, Intern
Yukta joined Goldstein Tax Advisors in the fall of 2024. She is currently attending Chatham University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting and is now pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Accounting. As an intern, she specializes in individual tax preparation and plans to pursue her CPA after graduation.
Outside of work, Yukta enjoys meditating, playing squash, and spending time with friends and family.
John Cecco, Intern
John joined Goldstein Tax Advisors as an intern in the fall of 2024. He is currently a senior undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is studying Accounting and Finance. John assists with tax preparation for individual tax returns.
Outside of the office, John enjoys running, reading, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
